ReligionThe Last Templar deals with religion throughout it. The whole premise is that the Templars found a something in Jerusalm, and that something is that Jesus was just a man. The Catholic church does not want what they found to be released to the world and in the present day they try to stop Vance, the antagonist, from finding proof of it.

TruthThe fact that Jesus was just a man in this book has dire consequences. People all over the world believe in the Bible and to learn that half of it is false would cause anarchy. The main dilema of the heroin, Tess, is whether or not to let Vance tell the world. Should the truth stay hidden or revealed? In the end she chooses to keep it hidden in order to not ruin people's lives.
